Assistant Headteacher at The Hawthorns School

Salary: STPCD Leadership Scale 7-11 Actual Salary: £49,019 to £54,091 per annum*

(*subject to additional National Pay Award due September 2022)

Are you looking for a fresh and exciting new challenge?

Do you have the skills to support the Headteacher in planning, managing and delivering

Would you like to work with friendly, supportive colleagues in a brand-new building set in the centre of Chelmsford?

Working at The Hawthorns School is destined to be highly rewarding and we can offer you:

  • A range of high-quality professional development opportunities
  • Support, training and encouragement from members of the SEAX Trust’s Central Team
  • A career pathway including internal career progression opportunities
  • Teachers Pension Scheme facilities
  • A varied and challenging role, rewarded by financial recognition of achievement
  • A fair work-life balance, employee assistance programme and commitment to staff wellbeing
  • A firm commitment to equality and diversity
  • A strong sense of cohesion and belonging
  • A role in which you will have the opportunity to truly make a difference to the life chances of children and young people with special educational needs

We think it is important for you to be able to demonstrate:

  • Motivation, challenge and drive
  • A steer towards collaboration
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Problem-solving skills and ideas
  • A willingness to learn
  • Reflectiveness, humour and a sense of perspective when things go wrong
