Welcome to the SEAX Trust

The SEAX Trust is a multi academy trust of five academies, each with their unique style and specialism. Our schools span Essex: from Brentwood, to Chelmsford and on to Colchester. They serve over five hundred wonderful young people with a range of special educational needs: from moderate learning difficulties; speech language and communication needs; social, emotional and mental health needs as well as meeting the needs of a significant group of pupils in all of our schools with an autism diagnosis. Another aspect of our work is providing support to mainstream schools around meeting the needs of young people with autism and the Mid- Essex Autism Hub.

We are at an exciting stage of our development and our plans for the future include the opening of a purpose- built new school with residential accommodation in 2024 with a focus on young people with autism. This brand new venture is an exciting development which we are working on in partnership with Essex Local Authority and the Department for Education. The Hawthorns has now opened in temporary accommodation as the fifth school in our Trust and will give us more capacity as we work to do our part to make sure that every young person with a special educational need has an excellent education which gives them every chance for the brightest of futures.
